This site is maintained by Pat McLean, email: mojomclean@gmail.com It began in 2007 as an attempt to track all the information being released about global warming, as much for my own personal use as anything. During 2009 it was moribund due to a technical problem, but starting in 2010 it is being revived and extended to include my other interests and activities.
Photo
The photo used above was taken on Kilimanjaro in July 2006. It is taken at dawn on the last day of the climb to the summit, looking east toward the companion peak Mawenzi. The ice sheets were still in place on Kilimanjaro.
GHG Calculator
This began as an attempt to see how long we had before the EU prescribed limit of 450 ppm of C02 was reached. Subsequent reading led to a realisation that if methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (NO2) are included, then we are at or over this limit on a co2 equivalent basis. See Wikipedia for details of how to calculate CO2 equivalency.
